For Samsung fans, the annual Galaxy Unpacked event feels like tech Christmas morning, when we excitedly rip open boxes to reveal the latest gadgets. This January promises no disappointment as the Galaxy S24 lineup looks to impress.
Leaker extraordinaire Evan Blass already popped the tape on these presents, giving us an early peek. As expected we’ll see the S24, S24 Plus, and masterful S24 Ultra to appeal to all user types.
The standard S24 seems like an incremental yet solid upgrade, making it a good option for casual users pleased with last year’s model. Its Versatile 50MP camera and long-lasting 4,000mAh battery will feel plenty familiar.
Stepping up, the S24 Plus sweetens the pot for people wanting more screen real estate and juice with its ample 6.7″ display and beefy 4,900mAh battery. Nice touches like a smooth 120Hz refresh rate also catch the eye here.
But power users know the real showstopper will be the S24 Ultra – I’m already drooling over that titanium body, pro-photographer 200MP camera, and downright gorgeous 6.8″ QHD+ display. And remarkably despite the ultra-plush build it’ll still boast IP68 water resistance because why the heck not?
While the overall industrial design stays consistent with last year’s models, I’m intrigued by the S24 Ultra’s rumored perfectly flat front face which would give it a slick, contemporary vibe.
But honestly the Gauss AI integration excites me most. Handling key tasks natively on the device rather than the cloud signals a huge shift for Samsung. Could this give their software the edge over rivals? We’ll see!
