Controversy Surrounds Launch of ‘The Last of Us Part I’ for PC Due to Severe Technical Issues and Bugs

Yesterday’s release of ‘The Last of Us Part I’ for PC has been met with disappointment and frustration from fans of the franchise. The highly-anticipated game was plagued by technical issues and bugs, causing it to be categorized as “mostly negative” in thousands of reviews on Steam. Many users reported frequent crashes and poor hardware utilization, while Steam Deck users experienced lengthy wait times and poor performance.

Even with a Steam Deck, a device designed for gaming, users still experienced issues with the game. One user reported waiting around 90 minutes for the game to compile shaders on its initial launch, and even then, the game crashed during the opening cinematics. Another user reported the game using 102 percent of the Steam Deck’s VRAM, causing crashes and poor performance.
