Tomorrow may be the day of the Apple event, but for those still hoping to get their hands on Sony’s next-generation gaming console, every day is a waiting game. Thankfully, GameStop has announced that the PlayStation 5 will be restocked twice this week. The PS5 Digital Edition will be available for purchase on the retailer’s website starting Tuesday, March 8th at 11 a.m. EST / 8 a.m. PST. This is a one-time offer for the PS5’s entry-level model, which does not include a disc drive. However, if you’re expecting to get your hands on a normal PS5 with a disc drive, there’s still hope for you later this week. On Friday, March 11th, select GameStop shops will offer the regular model for in-person sales.
Both of these PS5 restocks will be sold in bundles, as is customary for GameStop. They’re also only available to GameStop’s Power Rewards Pro members, who pay $14.99 a year for the privilege.
There will be two bundle options for the PS5 Digital Edition. One will set you back $652.97 and include the system (which is normally $399), a red DualSense controller, a PowerA DualSense charging station, a $50 GameStop gift card, a $50 PlayStation Network gift card, and a 12-month PlayStation Plus subscription. The second bundle costs $661.98 and includes the PS5 Digital Edition with a red DualSense controller and a PowerA charging station, but instead of gift cards, it includes a Samsung’s 1TB 980 Pro SSD, allowing you to expand your PS5’s storage capacity.
