The Elder Scrolls 6 Updates Not Coming Soon, Says Bethesda

Fans of The Elder Scrolls series will have to exercise patience, as Bethesda’s head of publishing, Pete Hines, has confirmed that updates about The Elder Scrolls 6 won’t be coming anytime soon.

In an interview with Vandal, Hines mentioned that the studio’s current focus is on Starfield, and while work is ongoing for The Elder Scrolls 6, there won’t be any news on it for years to come. He stated, “Starfield is our focus for now and will continue to be our focus for some time before we talk about anything else.”

However, Hines did provide some insight into the game’s status, noting that The Elder Scrolls 6 has left pre-production and is in early development. The game was initially announced in 2018, and fans have been eagerly awaiting updates on its progress since then.

This news reinforces the idea that The Elder Scrolls 6 is still several years away from release, allowing Bethesda to dedicate its efforts to Starfield in the meantime. Starfield itself promises to be a substantial game with hundreds of hours of content, keeping players occupied until The Elder Scrolls 6 eventually arrives.
