Nintendo Direct Rumored to Take Place Next Week, Exciting Fans Worldwide!

As 2023 rushes by, the video game industry braces for a flurry of launches, and rumors of a new Nintendo Direct continue to swirl. Although there has been no official announcement, sources suggest that the first Direct of the year is likely to occur as early as next week. Jeff Grubb of Giant Bomb has stated that he has received details indicating that the event will happen seven days from now, and that Nintendo typically confirms Directs only a day or two in advance.

Further evidence points to the possibility of a Direct, including recent news from Nintendo regarding Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. The game’s eShop page was recently updated, and retailers have been instructed to begin accepting pre-orders again. Fans are hopeful that a new release date will be announced during the Direct if it does indeed take place next week.

In addition to Advance Wars, the highly anticipated Breath of the Wild sequel is set to launch in May, and leaked images suggest that Nintendo may reveal a special edition OLED Switch to coincide with the release. However, it is unclear what else Nintendo has in store for fans, as the company will reportedly not be attending E3 this summer due to a sparse second half of the year.
