How to send photos using Apple iMessage on the iPhone

One of the most popular ways of expressing yourself or exchanging ideas is through communication. In this growing world of technology, we have been gifted with multiple ways of communication, some of which, include –

  1. Text Messaging (SMS or MMS)
  2. Social Media Messengers (Whatsapp, Messenger, etc)
  3. Emails

Out of the three, probably the most convenient option is that of the SMS. Apple has its own proprietary messaging client, which they call iMessage, and over the years, it has grown into a wholesome SMS/instant messaging platform, that rivals the likes of Facebook Messenger and even Whatsapp. Initially, iMessage was made to support only Apple to Apple communication, but eventually, Apple caved in and allowed iMessage to operate as a more standardized SMS app, with a twist.

While you can send and receive SMS from non-Apple devices, on iMessage, but the Apple to Apple conversations come with their own little perks. The best example of this is that of sending images.

Sending an image via text message is classified as an MMS, and you have to have this feature enabled on your phone to use the facility. However, if you are using iMessage with another iOS user, you can simply send images to that person, without incurring that MMS tariff.
