How to search for contacts or messages on Telegram
When it comes to messaging apps, one of the major requirements these days, is encrypted conversations. After the rather shocking and rather embarrassing data leak that facebook suffered a few years back, users have become a lot more concerned and aware about the importance of privacy online, which has, in turn, led to popular messaging apps introducing end to end encryption in order to retain their user base.
Telegram is a cloud-based instant messaging app available for iOS, Android, and PC. It was designed with safety in mind and as such, is considered one of the most secure messengers in the market today. The feature set available in Telegram and the integration of bots make the Telegram messenger very easy to use and also provide added functionality.
One of the internal features of Telegram is the app-wide search. Unlike the search option available on other messengers, the search feature on Telegram is a lot more in-depth and allows you to do much more than just search for contacts.
In this tutorial, we will tell you the different ways in which you can use the search option on Telegram.
Step 1. Open the Telegram app on your device (iOS, Android, and PC supported).
Step 2. Tap on the ‘chat’ button on the main window.
Step 3. In the search bar, you can search for contacts (in your contact list or globally), bots, and even important messages.
The search bar remains the same and adapts to the search terms and the context.
