Meaning – A display station refers to a setup containing a display, and an input device, such as a keyboard, that allows users to interact with the content on the display.
A display station is sometimes referred to as the space within an organisation, that has been fitted with all the equipment necessary for an employee to get the job done. This includes a working WiFi setup, computer and other necessary hardware.
Commercial locations are also using display stations to allow customers to interact better with the contents of the store and even perform the check out themselves.
Example of usage – “When he went to the restaurant, he was surprised to see a display station, that allowed customers to order and then collect the delivery at the table or take it home.”
