On the internet, a particular domain is controlled by an individual or organisation that has its own presence on the internet, that is, the individual or organisation has its own IP address on the web.
In general computer terminology, the word domain refers to a range of values that belongs to a particular attribute. This term can also be used in the context of an Excel or Google Sheet, and is referred to as the list of possible values that the user has designated for a specific column are that column’s domain.
