This advanced facility is equipped with cutting-edge test rigs for electrical systems, including specialized cold-weather chambers, and boasts the capability for drive-unit production.
JLR has unveiled that the battery-electric Range Rover is currently in the testing phase at the Future Energy Lab, as it gears up for its anticipated launch next year. This groundbreaking endeavor is a testament to JLR’s dedication to embracing electric innovation while maintaining its renowned standards of performance and luxury.
Already, the Future Energy Lab is home to a workforce of 200 skilled engineers, driving forward JLR’s vision for the electric future. Furthermore, JLR has announced its plans to create an additional 150 roles at this facility in the near future, solidifying its commitment to pioneering the path toward electric mobility.
