A new Ninja Turtles game is coming to the PlayStation 5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is currently available on PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One from developer Tribute Games and publisher Dotemu Games. After debuting on these platforms in June, the game will have its next-generation debut on PS5 on November 15. If you already own the game on PS4, you can get the PS5 version for free. Unfortunately, Tribute Games claims that the two versions are similar, thus the free upgrade is meaningless.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge premiered in June with Metacritic ratings ranging from 84 to 87 depending on the platform. In other words, it was favourably regarded by reviewers. It was also favourably welcomed by customers, however, it is unknown how much of this favourable response converted into sales since Dotemu has yet to provide sales data.
The game’s official description states, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge includes breakthrough gameplay anchored in timeless traditional brawling techniques, presented to you by the beat ’em up professionals at Dotemu (Streets of Rage 4) and Tribute Games.” “Bash your way through magnificent pixel art surroundings and defeat dozens of hellacious opponents with your favourite Turtle, each with his own set of abilities and moves—every run is different!” Choose a fighter, employ creative combinations to destroy your opponents, and immerse yourself in intense combats filled with spectacular action and incredible ninja skills. Stay sharp as you take on Shredder and his loyal Foot Clan alone, or gather your friends and play with up to four players at the same time!
