Last Chance to Use Dark Sky on iOS Before It Shuts Down

The time has come for users to say goodbye to Dark Sky, as the much-loved weather app is about to stop functioning. This comes nearly two years after Apple purchased the app and over a year after announcing its shutdown.
Since September, an in-app notification has warned iOS users that the app would no longer work as of January 1st, 2023. In preparation for the shutdown, Apple also removed Dark Sky from the App Store in September, following its earlier delisting from the Play Store.

If you are in search of an alternative to Dark Sky, it may be worth considering revisiting Apple’s own Weather app. Since the release of iOS 14, the company has gradually integrated Dark Sky’s technology into its native offering. For example, the Weather app now includes next-hour precipitation alerts, a feature that was directly inspired by Dark Sky.

However, if you are determined to try a third-party alternative, AccuWeather and Carrot Weather are both worth considering. Both apps offer a range of features and can be a good replacement for Dark Sky.
