Meaning – The term input focus, refers to the position, indicated on the screen, where a user’s interaction with the keyboard will appear. The input focus is very important with respect to the input field that has been included in the software or application. Whenever an interaction triggers an input field, it is important that the input focus is also enabled at the same time, so that the user can input the required data in time, without a lag.
Input focus is one of the key points of consideration for UI and UX designers when they are working on the input field part of the application or the software.
Example of usage – “She was commended for her tremendous job on the input field section of the application. Users were amazed to see that the input focus coupled with the input field offered next to zero lag.”
