Browser

Meaning – A browser, commonly known as a web browser, is a platform that allows people to browse for content on the internet. Thanks to the boom in internet users in the world, web browsers have become almost integral to the day to day functioning of individuals and organisations around the world.

There are two kinds of web browsers – In-Built web browsers and third party web browsers. The in-built web browsers are the ones that are bundled with the computer that you purchase. Browsers like Safari, Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome are known as in-built browsers. Third party browsers are developed by companies who have done considerable research in this domain and bring out browsers with features that rival their mainstream counterparts. Common examples include Opera, UC browsers, etc.

Example of Usage“She was spoilt for choice when it came to choosing a web browser to use on her new laptop, but she decided to go with the in built browser on her system.”
