Buck Slip

Meaning – A buck slip is a document that lists out all the members of a particular department in an organisation. This is used when a particular task is to be re-assigned from one member to another seamlessly. The buck slip also refers to a routing slip that is attached to a document when it must be taken from on person’s desk and place it onto another’s.

There are cases where a buck slip is misused by an employee to lay on his responsibilities onto another, and that is why the organisation is very careful when they decide who gets the power to assign or use buck slips.
