2024 Toyota Prius and Crown: What’s New and Their Updated Prices

Minimal Changes, Slightly Higher Prices for the 2024 Models

The arrival of the fifth generation Toyota Prius in North America for the 2023 model year brought with it an unexpectedly appealing design and the option for all-wheel drive. Simultaneously, Toyota introduced the new Crown, serving as a successor to the Avalon. As both vehicles step into the 2024 model year, they come with minimal improvements and a corresponding increase in their starting prices.

Starting with the 2024 Prius, there aren’t significant changes to report, except for the addition of a few new exterior colors. The color options now include Guardian Gray, Midnight Black Metallic, and Reservoir Blue as standard choices, with Supersonic Red and Wind Chill Pearl available as optional hues. Just like the previous year, the model is offered in three trim levels, each available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. Every 2024 Prius comes equipped with Toyota’s Safety Sense suite of safety and assistance systems as standard.

In terms of pricing, the hybrid vehicle sees a slight bump compared to the 2023 Prius. The base LE with front-wheel drive starts at $28,745, inclusive of destination and handling fees, compared to $28,545 the previous year. Opting for the all-wheel drive version of the entry-level model will require at least $30,145. The top-of-the-line Limited AWD begins at $37,160 before options, up from last year’s $36,960 starting price.

Shifting to the 2024 Toyota Crown, it doesn’t receive extensive updates, but Toyota mentions the inclusion of higher-quality, softer-to-the-touch materials and new trim accents for the XLE, Limited, and Platinum trim levels. These subtle enhancements are reflected in the starting prices, with the 2024 Crown XLE, serving as the base model, starting at $41,145 – a mere $100 more than the previous year. For those looking for the pinnacle of the Crown lineup, the Crown Platinum commands a minimum price of $54,165, including destination and handling fees.
