Despite Xbox CEO Phil Spencer’s admiration for the company that has controlled the Halo franchise for over 15 years, some former 343 Industries employees have painted a less than rosy picture of the two firms’ working relationship in recent days. Following the layoffs at 343, some former Halo Infinite developers blasted Microsoft for both the layoffs and allegedly weak leadership throughout the shooter’s troubled development. While those developers are no longer with 343, their words suggest that there was more tension between the developer and Microsoft than gamers were aware of.
