Xbox head Phil Spencer underlined the importance of 343 Industries to the Halo series in a wide-ranging interview with IGN detailing changes at Microsoft and Xbox, as well as the company’s intentions moving forward following recent layoffs. Spencer declared unequivocally, “Halo will continue to be very important to what Xbox is doing, and 343 is crucially important to the success of Halo.” Spencer indicated that, while support studios may be engaged in future Halo projects, “the heart and soul of Halo is with 343.”
