343 Industries’ instalments in the iconic shooter series have frequently been a cause of dispute among franchise fans, having been created by Microsoft in 2007 to lead the Halo franchise following the departure of original developer Bungie. While its work on titles such as Halo 4 and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary was well praised, the continuous technical troubles that plagued both Halo: The Master Chief Collection and 2021’s Halo Infinite left some gamers wondering if 343 was the ideal studio to lead such an iconic franchise. Following speculations that it will no longer be in charge of the IP, 343 recently took to Twitter to clarify that the studio is still making Halo games and will do so for the foreseeable future.
