Meaning – The term MIP-Burner, refers to a long-running program on a computer. Usually, when developers are working on an app or a software package, the code responsible for making the project work is very long, and if you were to translate the typed data to handwritten pages, the codes would actually take up several notebooks.
While some of these codes may be short-duration ones with just the output being displayed to the user, some of the codes are long duration ones and usually take up a long time compiling, and when executed, may even run for hours, or as long as the user requires.
Such programs are known as MIP-Burners.
Example of usage – “When the developer was done writing the code, he saw that the end product was long and very likely, a MIP-Burner, as it kept running until the user manually quit it.”
