Ather Energy is set to launch the 450 Apex soon, which will be its fastest and most powerful scooter yet. Teased recently by CEO Tarun Mehta, the 450 Apex will sit above the 450X in Ather’s lineup as a more performance-oriented model.
The 450 Apex is expected to get the same 3.7kWh battery pack as the 450X but with a more powerful motor exceeding 6.4kW of power. This should enable the Apex to breach the 100kph top speed mark and have quicker acceleration than the 450X.
Visually, the 450 Apex may feature transparent side panels like the 450X Series 1 along with distinct colors to differentiate it. It will also be priced at a premium over the 450X which retails for Rs 1.68 lakh. An ex-showroom price of around Rs 2 lakh is likely.
Ather will introduce the 450 Apex in India by end-2023 or early 2024. The special edition scooter will commemorate the brand’s 10th anniversary and offer enthusiasts the most performance-focused Ather till date.
