AlphaTauri driver Yuki Tsunoda proposes new team name as Red Bull takeover looms
Red Bull’s motorsport advisor, Helmut Marko, recently confirmed plans to bring significant changes to the AlphaTauri Formula 1 team, including a potential rebranding and operational shifts. The team’s operations are likely to move from their Faenza base in Italy to the United Kingdom, aligning them closer to the Red Bull Racing team. Furthermore, Marko revealed that new sponsors and a new name are likely to be introduced for the 2024 season.
The intention behind these changes is to bring AlphaTauri back into closer association with the Red Bull brand. Marko expressed his desire for the team to follow Red Bull Racing as closely as possible within the boundaries of the regulations in the future. This strategic move aims to enhance the synergy and collaboration between the two teams, ultimately elevating the performance and competitiveness of AlphaTauri.
