Two more games are coming to Xbox Game Pass today, January 18th – the brand new Turnip Boy Robs a Bank and the critically acclaimed racing game F1 23. These additions continue the service’s rapid expansion in 2023, with seven new titles added already this month.
Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is an absurdist action-adventure from indie developer Snoozy Kazoo, sequel to their 2021 sleeper hit Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. It brings a roguelite twist to the series, giving players new wacky ways to commit felonies. As a day-one Game Pass release, Xbox subscribers can dive into Turnip Boy’s criminal antics as soon as the game launches on Steam later today.
For racing fans, F1 23 also joins the Game Pass library today. This latest Formula 1 simulation from veteran studio Codemasters hit shelves last June to glowing reviews. With over 11,000 ‘Very Positive’ user reviews on Steam, F1 23 introduces long-requested features like red flag conditions along with the glamorous new Las Vegas circuit. As part of EA Play, it will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.
These two games mark the second expansion to the Game Pass catalog this week after Tuesday’s addition of the horror titles Resident Evil 2 and Those Who Remain. More games are still set to join later this month like the Pokémon-inspired RPG Palworld, local multiplayer shooter Go Mecha Ball, and frantic bullet hell game Brotato.
With major releases across multiple genres, January has proven to be an exciting month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. And with indie darlings like Turnip Boy Robs a Bank launching day-one on the service, Microsoft continues to position Game Pass as the premier destination for video game value. Gamers have even more bizarre adventures and high-speed thrills to look forward to in the coming months.
