In a compelling address, Mr. Kang Ning, the President of Huawei Cloud Global Ecosystem, emphasized the pivotal role of partnerships in ushering in a new era of value creation. During his keynote presentation, Mr. Kang shared the latest advancements within the Huawei Cloud ecosystem and introduced the launch of the Ascend AI Cloud Service, a powerful solution designed to deliver dependable and scalable AI computing capabilities. Ascend seamlessly integrates with the Model Community and Developer Institute, setting the stage for collaborative innovation among partners and developers, fostering further growth within the ecosystem.
According to Mr. Kang, “Huawei Cloud has meticulously cultivated a comprehensive ecosystem, welcoming a wide spectrum of foundational AI models and fostering global collaboration with partners and developers. Together, let us harness the potential of Pangu models to revolutionize industries through the power of AI.” The Huawei Cloud ecosystem now boasts an impressive membership of 5 million developers and 42,000 partners. Moreover, the ecosystem has witnessed the introduction of over 10,000 applications on KooGallery, Huawei Cloud’s flourishing marketplace, with an additional 21,000 clients actively participating in Pangu PoC tests.
At the core of this transformative journey lies the Ascend AI Cloud Service, a robust computing infrastructure characterized by exceptional performance and an abundance of resources. This infrastructure empowers partners and developers by facilitating model migration and training. Notably, Ascend incorporates mainstream AI engines like MindSpore, Huawei’s deep learning training and inference framework, enabling developers to seamlessly migrate their state-of-the-art (SOTA) models and even train models with trillions of parameters.
Huawei Cloud’s overarching objective is to establish an open global ecosystem with a distinct emphasis on developers, a vision vividly realized through the Huawei Cloud Model Community. Within this vibrant community, developers gain access to high-quality datasets, enhanced SOTA models, cutting-edge AI capabilities, developer kits, comprehensive courses, and robust technical support. Furthermore, Huawei Cloud is deeply committed to enhancing developer skill sets. The curriculum encompasses foundational model concepts and cloud-native technologies, complemented by hands-on experiences that offer certification and recognition opportunities.
Fostering a thriving ecosystem requires collective efforts from both customers and partners, a principle wholeheartedly embraced by Huawei Cloud. Collaboratively, Huawei Cloud and its partners have developed more than 20 industry-specific models and over 400 AI applications built upon the Pangu L0 foundation models. In tandem with 150+ partners and 200+ customers, these achievements have unlocked an array of exciting possibilities across various industries.
