The Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion Mod adds Zack Cloud’s Advent Children outfit

Cloud’s trademark appearance from Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children is replaced with a new mod for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion. Square Enix’s continuing Final Fantasy 7 story has seen the company return to another iconic entry, reproducing the PSP spinoff that acts as a prequel to Final Fantasy 7. The prequel has often been recognised as one of the finest Final Fantasy 7 spinoffs due to its plot and gameplay innovation. Now, one fan is bringing up another classic piece of Final Fantasy 7 history.

The Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 remake has already gotten a tonne of modifications when it first came out earlier this month from imaginative players trying to spice it up. Some early changes attempted to modify the appearance and feel of the player character, replacing the prequel protagonist Zack with Cloud and his famous Buster Sword. One incredibly ambitious mod replaces the remake’s voice cast with the memorable voices of the original game. A new Crisis Core mod has given Zack a new, updated appearance.

Ninjagrime1, a well-known Crisis Core modder, has made a new mod that gives Zack a new appearance based on Cloud from Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. The mod replaces Zack’s standard-issue SOLDIER uniform with Cloud’s clothing from the Final Fantasy 7 sequel film. The mod’s previews show off many finer aspects of recreating the suit, such as the distinctive symbol mounted to the shoulder plate and the texturing utilised on various items of apparel.

The Crisis Core clothing mod’s NexusMods website also gives further information. The altered clothing comes in many variations, including sleeveless and sleeved variants of the Advent Children’s attire. The patch also includes texture corrections for Zack’s tutor, Angeal, who wields the Buster Sword for the entirety of the game. The Advent Children outfit requires just 125 MB of storage space, so players won’t need to reserve a lot of free storage space to download it.

The release of Crisis Core will attempt to entertain fans as they wait for the next chapter of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy by delving into the history of the Final Fantasy 7 universe. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the series’ next major chapter, is set to release in late 2023 or early 2024. Yoshinori Kitase, the game’s producer, has also lately teased fans about updates for the forthcoming Final Fantasy 7 chapter, suggesting that news would come “when the moment is perfect.” While fans will have to wait for Rebirth, Crisis Core offers a fresh perspective on Cloud’s journey.
