Telegram introduces new features such as Topics in Groups and Collectible Usernames

Telegram Messenger introduced big improvements to its programme on Monday to improve the user conversation experience, including features such as Topics in Groups, Collectible Usernames, and more.

conversations as well as hundreds of additional emoji packs for premium customers.

“I feel particularly excited about today’s Telegram update. It adds topics to large groups, transforming these linear chats into slick mobile-friendly versions of good old Internet Forums,” Telegram CEO and Founder Pavel Durov stated in a statement.

Groups with over 200 members may now activate “Topics,” which creates a distinct place for every subject so that group discussions can be easily read.

Users may now give numerous “Collectible Usernames” to their Telegram accounts and publicly available channels, making it easier for others to identify and contact them.

“Topics today come packed with lots of features including the ability to close and pin topics, flexible notification options and lots of fun animated emoji to be used as topic icons. Taking advantage of the two-week delay caused by Apple’s review, we have begun to expand these new threaded groups into something even more powerful,”Durov continued.

Furthermore, “voice-to-text for video communications” converts video messages to text, enabling premium customers to get a quick text transcript.

The function was previously offered to premium customers to convert any audio communication to text for times when reading rather than listening was more convenient, according to the business.

In addition, the site offered 12 new emoji packs for premium users, which may be used in any message or caption.
