Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus Benchmark Raises Doubts Against iPhone 15 Pro’s Superiority

The Geekbench benchmark for the rumored Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus indicates that the phone’s performance might not be on par with some of Apple’s previous and upcoming flagship devices. While it does use the expected Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the benchmark scores show that the iPhone 14 Pro outperforms the Galaxy S24 Plus in single-core tasks, while the Galaxy S24 Plus has a slight advantage in multi-core tasks over the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.

However, it’s worth noting that these benchmark results are still a significant improvement over the Galaxy S23 Plus, indicating that the Galaxy S24 Plus will be a powerful device. Additionally, the benchmark might be using pre-release versions of the chipset and phone, and there could be further improvements before the official release.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus is expected to be announced alongside the standard Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24 Ultra in early 2024, so there’s still some time before we get more details about these devices. Regardless of the benchmark scores, the Galaxy S24 Plus is likely to be a capable and powerful phone, and it’s possible that further optimizations and enhancements could be made before its official launch.
