Nintendo has released the 15.0.1 Switch Console Update

On October 10, Nintendo Switch version 15.0.0 was published, only three weeks before. Changes were made to the Bluetooth Audio menu and the Capture Button capabilities in the Nintendo Switch Online app as part of that update. In contrast, version 15.0.1 was only the most recent in a series of additional upgrades issued by Nintendo every few weeks. Each of these additional updates was covered by the most current major version at the time. Version 14.0 was published in March of this year, with three further upgrades from April through June.

Among the improvements in version 15.0.1 were two important bug fixes. According to Nintendo’s update notes, an issue that caused Error Code: 2181-1000 to appear has been rectified. This happened when playing downloadable DLC for certain games on a system other than the user’s main console. A second problem was discovered and fixed that previously prevented screenshots from being captured during specific in-game sequences in certain titles. The system upgrade arrived only days after recent game releases received their updates, such as Bayonetta 3’s day-one update.
