HP is working on a cool new gaming laptop called Omen Transcend 14, following its Transcend 16 model. Leaked pics and details spill the beans, showing a super light and thin design—only 3.5 pounds and less than half an inch thick. The Transcend 16 is way heavier at 4.79 pounds. But the cool part? HP says it won’t skimp on power for gaming.
The leaked info proudly claims it’s the “world’s lightest 14-inch gaming laptop.” Inside, it’s expected to have a powerful Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor with 16 cores, 22 threads, and a 24 GB memory cache running at 5.1 GHz. Gamers will love the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics. It’s also got up to 32GB of RAM, a big 2TB storage, and a redesigned look with different ports.
Staying cool in a slim laptop is crucial, and HP seems to have it covered with a strong cooling system. The new design includes a more centered trackpad, different arrow keys, and changed port placements. The display gets an upgrade to 2.8K resolution, although with a slightly lower refresh rate of 120Hz.
Expect cool features like Wi-Fi 7, a good webcam, and a great 11.5 hours of battery life. We don’t know when it’ll launch, but there’s a buzz it might debut at CES 2024 in a couple of weeks.
