When it comes to operating systems, users have come to expect absolutely everything under the sun, and thanks to advancements in technology, platforms like Android are actually proving successful in their updates and enhancements. One of the features that the user wanted to be the trash can. On the PC, the trash can, or the Recycle Bin is where all your deleted content goes. There is no constraint on what you can delete so you will see a variety of different items of different formats in your computer’s Recycle Bin.
However, it’s not so simple to implement on a mobile operating system, which is why Android has introduced dedicated Trash Can feature in their apps. So apps like Google Drive, Google Photos, Gmail, etc have their own stand-alone trash cans. Here, the concept is a lot more streamlined as the trash can of the particular app only contains items that you have deleted from that app, so you can easily decide what you want to clear and what you want to restore.
In this tutorial, we will show you how to recover deleted photos on Android.
Step 1. Open the Google Photos app on your Android Smartphone.
Step 2. Tap on the Bin option to access the Trash.
Step 3. Tap on the select option or long-press on the photos you have in the Trash.
Step 4. Tap on the ‘Restore‘ option to recover the deleted photos from the Trash.
Your trash will now be emptied and you can now access all your previously deleted photos. You should also keep in mind that once you move items to the trash, they stay there for 60 days, after which they are automatically deleted. This means you have 60 days to recover a batch of deleted photos before they are permanently deleted from your device.
