The Android mobile operating system offers a lot of features and functionalities that make our day to day lives easier. There some features, however, which are placed for more personal applications. One such feature is the HIde apps feature. Brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus, Huawei, among others have already added the ‘Hide Apps’ feature as a dedicated feature in their UI, which allows you to simply select the apps to hide and with the press of a button, they are gone. However, if you are using a smartphone that runs stock android, there is no dedicated ‘Hide Apps’ button, but there is still a way to hide your unwanted apps.
In this tutorial, we will show you how to hide apps on Android.
Step 1. Tap on the ‘Settings‘ app on your Android smartphone.
Step 2. Tap on the ‘Apps‘ or the ‘Apps and Notifications‘ options from the settings menu.
Step 3. In the apps list, tap on the app you want to disable. This will open the app settings.
Step 4. Tap on the disable option from the list.
Step 5. Confirm the operation on the confirmation window and the app will now be disabled.
Once the app is disabled, you will not see it in your app list. While this is not ‘Hiding the app’ per se, it still does the trick. You can always go back ot the app settings and enable the apps if you want to use them again.
