Apple has not been giving their SE lineup of smartphones a lot of love, with a redundant design and minor performance upgrades. However, it has become one of the go to devices for those who want an iPhone, but do not want to shell the big bucks. However, with the gulf in design and specifications ever increasing, the popularity of the iPhone SE lineup has started to gradually decline, but, instead of retiring the product, Apple seems to be gearing up to give their cheapest offering a major design change.
According to multiple rumours on social media, the iPhone SE 4 is tipped to be a modified version of the iPhone 14. This means, we can expect it to feature an all-screen design, Face ID, Dynamic Island (Presumably), and no Home Button (Finally). However, the leaks seem to suggest that the iPhone SE 4 will be slightly lighter than the iPhone 14. There will be a single camera sensor at the back (akin to the iPhone XR), and we presume this will be the major reason for the price drop.
Other design cues that we might see in the iPhone SE 4 include the aluminium chassis, the flat sides, as well as the USB Type-C Port. There are rumours that the action button may also make an appearance. The new feature made its debut in the iPhone 15 Pro, and if it were to appear on the iPhone SE 4, it would be incredible.
At the moment, we do not know when this iPhone SE 4 will hit the market, but if we were to take a guess, we assume to see this device in 2025, alongside the iPhone 17 series. It remains to be seen whether the iPhone SE 4 will be relevant in terms of specifications in 2025, but whatever the case, this leak has definitely got us intrigued.
