Logitech Unveils Mobi Fold, Its First Foldable Mouse, Promising 30-Day Battery Life for Mobile Workers

Logitech has introduced the Mobi Fold, its first foldable mouse, a pocket-sized peripheral that snaps open into a full-featured wireless mouse and is aimed squarely at professionals who work from airports, cafés and hotel lobbies. The device was announced on June 10 alongside a business-oriented variant, with regional availability rolling out this week.

The launch targets what Logitech calls the “On-the-Go Productivity Gap.” According to the company’s research, 72% of professionals own a mouse but only 26% actually use one when working in public, with most citing the bulk of traditional mice as the reason they fall back on laptop trackpads. The Mobi Fold’s answer is a folding mechanism that collapses the mouse to roughly half its size, powering it off automatically when closed and back on when opened.

“For a long time, people have left their mice behind simply because they were a hassle to carry around, not because they didn’t want to use one,” said Joseph Mingori, VP and general manager at Logitech, in the announcement. The company claims the design reduces muscle strain by 22% compared with using a laptop trackpad — a vendor figure that, like the rest of its research, has not been independently verified.

Battery life is a standout claim: a full charge is rated for up to 30 days of use, while a one-minute top-up is said to provide 22 hours. Other features include Adaptive Touch Scrolling that shifts between line-by-line precision and fast scrolling, two customizable buttons programmable through the Logi Options+ app, and quiet-click switches intended for shared spaces. An on-device AI model is used to ignore unintentional clicks as the mouse is being folded shut, and the Mobi Fold is also Logitech’s first input device certified for Google’s Fast Pair.

Connectivity covers up to three devices simultaneously over Bluetooth, with switching across Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iPadOS and Linux. Durability claims include drop testing, a dust-resistant silicone sleeve and an internal hinge rated for 15 years of daily use.

Sustainability also features in the pitch: Graphite models use up to 36% certified post-consumer recycled plastic, the magnets contain fully recycled rare-earth metal, and the packaging is FSC-certified paper.

The Mobi Fold is priced at $79.99 (€79.99/£69.99) and is available globally in Graphite, with Lilac and Off White finishes offered in select markets. A Mobi Fold for Business edition, at $89.99, adds a Logi Bolt USB-C receiver for secure wireless connections, a two-year limited hardware warranty and support for Logitech’s Sync IT-management platform, sold through the company’s B2B channels.

The launch extends a long line of travel-focused pointing devices from the Swiss-American firm, best known for its MX series, but it is the first time Logitech has applied a folding form factor to the category. With hybrid work keeping laptops — and their trackpads — at the centre of many workdays, the company is betting that a mouse which disappears into a pocket can finally convince mobile professionals to carry one again.
