InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Launches 36-Hour Staycation Package Starting at $150

InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa is betting that time-starved travelers want more bang for their weekend buck with a new 36-hour staycation package starting at 550 AED (approximately $150).

The beachfront property, located less than an hour from Dubai, is targeting both domestic and international visitors with the curated experience that bundles guaranteed early check-in and late checkout with a suite of wellness and dining perks.

What’s Included

The package stacks up with daily breakfast, 50% off spa treatments, 30% off food and beverage at the resort’s restaurants, complimentary room upgrades to Club InterContinental, and access to the health club facilities including jacuzzi and sauna.

Families get an extra incentive: children under 12 stay and eat free. The resort is also throwing in access to its Planet Trekkers kids’ club, private beach, swimming pools, and tennis courts.

The Play for Extended Stays

The move reflects a broader hospitality industry trend toward value-packed short getaways as hotels compete for the lucrative staycation market in the Gulf region. With its white sand beaches and Arabian Gulf waterfront, the award-winning property is positioning itself as a quick escape from urban centers.

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, the IHG-owned luxury brand founded in 1946, operates over 220 properties across 70 countries. The Ras Al Khaimah resort is part of IHG’s expanding Middle East portfolio as the region continues to invest heavily in tourism infrastructure.

For travelers looking to maximize a weekend without the hassle of international flights, the 36-hour format could hit a sweet spot—offering just enough time to decompress without burning precious PTO days.
