Inntelo AI hires 18-year hospitality veteran Julia Fernandez to lead EMEA expansion

Inntelo AI, a UK-based startup building an AI-native concierge platform for hotels, has appointed Julia Fernandez Clavera as AI Solutions Director for EMEA. The hire signals a push to scale the company’s conversational AI tools across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa following recent deployments at TRYP by Wyndham Dubai and Ciel Dubai Marina — the world’s tallest hotel.

Fernandez brings more than 18 years of experience with brands including The First Group Hospitality, Accor, Marriott International, and The Ritz-Carlton, spanning hotel openings and operations across three continents.

What Inntelo actually does

The platform lets hotel guests handle everything from ordering room service to booking local excursions through their phones, powered by conversational and agentic AI. Rather than replacing hotel staff, it automates routine requests and personalizes the guest experience across every stage of a stay.

The company raised a pre-seed round worth over £500,000 in 2025 and is currently operating within franchise properties of IHG, Wyndham, and Radisson across the UK, Portugal, Netherlands, Dubai, Sri Lanka, Kenya, and Switzerland.

Why it matters

Hiring an experienced operator rather than another engineer to lead commercial expansion suggests Inntelo is shifting from product development to market capture. Fernandez’s deep knowledge of day-to-day hotel operations — she’s been one of Inntelo’s target customers — could help the startup navigate the traditionally slow-moving hospitality industry more effectively.

Inntelo AI is backed by Antler, Haatch, Look AI Ventures, and the British Business Bank.
