PlayStation launches 2025 Wrap-Up amid technical difficulties

The PlayStation 2025 Wrap-Up provides a detailed look at a player’s activity across the PS5 and PS4 platforms over the previous calendar year. This year’s edition includes a variety of metrics, such as the total number of hours played, the top five most-played games, and a breakdown of the specific genres the user spent the most time in. Additionally, the Wrap-Up shares the number of trophies earned and highlights milestones reached in individual titles.

A new addition for the 2025 edition is the inclusion of “Hardware Insights.” This feature tracks the different devices used within the PlayStation ecosystem, such as the DualSense Edge controller, the PSVR 2 headset, and the PlayStation Portal handheld. The goal is to provide a more holistic view of how players interact with their gaming hardware. Upon successfully completing the review, users are presented with a digital sharecard—a concise summary of their top stats designed for posting on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.

Technical hurdles at launch

Shortly after the Wrap-Up went live in late 2025, users began reporting significant issues with the dedicated landing page. Common complaints include the site failing to load entirely, users being logged out unexpectedly, and the appearance of “Uh oh… Looks like something went wrong” error messages. These technical difficulties are likely caused by the sheer number of concurrent users trying to access their data at once. Some players have reported receiving a “500 Internal Server Error,” indicating that Sony’s web servers are struggling to handle the request load.

While the current situation is frustrating for many, it is noted that the site is not completely offline. Some users have successfully navigated through the various slides by repeatedly refreshing the page or trying again during off-peak hours. These issues follow a similar pattern to the 2024 launch, which also suffered from crashes due to high demand. Sony has not yet issued a formal statement regarding the current server performance, but background optimizations are expected as the initial rush of traffic subsides in early 2026.

Access requirements and instructions

To access the PlayStation 2025 Wrap-Up, users must have a valid PlayStation Network (PSN) account and have played for at least 10 hours on a PS5 or PS4 console during the 2025 calendar year. Players must also be in a supported region and have the “Full Data” collection setting enabled in their console privacy settings. If these criteria are met, the personalized report can be found at the official URL: wrapup.playstation.com.

The Wrap-Up is expected to remain available for a limited time, typically through January or early February 2026. For those having trouble with the website, Sony sometimes sends out a summary email to the address associated with the PSN account, which may contain some of the same top-level statistics. Users are encouraged to try logging in via a desktop browser if the mobile experience continues to be unstable.
