GoPro Max 2 Launch Set for Next Week Alongside Another New Camera

GoPro has confirmed that the GoPro Max 2 will officially be launched on September 23, bringing an end to a long wait since the original GoPro Max arrived in 2019. Along with the Max 2, there is also another new camera set to debut, with leaks suggesting it could be the GoPro Lit Hero, a more budget-friendly 4K action camera. As of now, it doesn’t look like we will see a GoPro Hero 14 Black at this event.

The upcoming GoPro Max 2 is expected to come packed with new features. Based on recent leaks, the Max 2 will support 8K video resolution, 10-bit color, and slow-motion modes. The camera is rumored to house a 29-megapixel sensor and offer advanced video stabilization. For those serious about audio, the Max 2 should have six built-in microphones enabling true 360-degree stereo sound, and it will also support Bluetooth microphones for even better audio capture.

Another highlight is its rugged build. The GoPro Max 2 is expected to be waterproof up to five meters without the need for extra housing. This makes it ideal for action shots, underwater footage, and travel vlogs.

Official images and videos teased by GoPro show the new camera design, while the second camera hints at some unique features, including bright LED lights on the front. All the details will be revealed at GoPro’s launch event, so fans and creators should watch out for the big announcement.
