Dragon Age: The Veilguard

BioWare to Showcase New Dragon Age 4 Gameplay at SDCC

Dragon Age fans can look forward to another look at Dragon Age: The Veilguard at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).

After the official reveal of the game last month, BioWare has announced that it will participate in the annual comic convention on July 26. The event will feature a panel with several voice actors and developers discussing the upcoming role-playing game, and it seems the studio plans to share even more than anticipated.

According to Temple of Geek, BioWare will present new gameplay footage, providing a closer look at The Veilguard‘s characters. The “Dragon Age: Meet The Heroic Companions of Thedas” panel will feature the voice actors behind key characters such as Lucanis, Harding, Emmrich, and Neve. Creative Director John Elper and Creative Performance Director Ashley Barlow will also be present.

Attendees will gain exclusive insights into the motivations and inspirations behind each unique companion. The event will likely include new gameplay footage—possibly a trailer or an extended segment—highlighting the game’s renowned conversation system and how relationships and bonds develop.

The panel is set to last one hour and will be hosted by GameSpot’s host and producer Lucy James, who will moderate the discussion.

As the panel is exclusive to attendees, it is unclear if BioWare will release the gameplay footage to the public on the same day or at a later time. There is no release date for The Veilguard yet, but it is expected to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC in “late 2024.”

An announcement regarding the release date may also be made at SDCC alongside the gameplay reveal, but fans will have to wait and see.

BioWare has already shared several details about the next entry in the Dragon Age series. Most recently, the studio confirmed that Dragon Age: The Veilguard will offer players multiple “playstyles” as difficulty options.
