New feature added to the Windows 11’s Photos App

News for Windows 11 users who frequently use the Photos app – there’s an exciting new feature on the way. They are currently testing an addition that allows you to easily remove or replace the background in your photos. Microsoft has made the process simple and straightforward by pressing a button. You can then copy the foreground object to paste it elsewhere or save the picture as is. If you prefer you can also replace the background with a color using another button and you have a variety of colors to choose from.

Alongside this background manipulation feature they have also improved sharing capabilities for photos backed up on OneDrive within the updated Photos app. With a right click on a photo you’ll be able to send a link via email or copy it to share wherever needed. Additionally Microsoft has worked on enhancing performance and stability of the app, including improvements in Slideshow features, navigation, between tabs and opening images. All these changes and other refinements are included in version number 2023.11110.8002.0 (or later) of the Photos app.

The update is currently being released to testers through all channels beginning with Canary testers and moving forward.
