The Galaxy S24 leaks keep on coming and this time, we have some new for you regarding a rather controversial design change that Samsung might be making for the top end Galaxy S24 Ultra. If you have observed the design of the Ultra models of the past few generations, you may have noticed that the display was curved, giving the Ultra models a slim profile, but it looks like for the S24 Ultra, Samsung is going to give users a flattened display panel.
Now, this does make the smartphone lose its sort of elegant and slim profile, but what a flattened screen does is enables easier repairs, and makes it infinitely easier to apply a screen protector, an accessory that has become a must-have for people who treasure their prized flagship phones.
Samsung has already made it a lot easier for users to repair their own smartphones and other devices, but one of the challenges that S23 users had faced was replacing the curved screen, but when it comes a flattened screen, the procedure is simpler.
When we dug a bit deeper into this leak, we found that despite the flat display, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will not be a thicker device. In fact, Samsung will be giving it a design that is alignment with their flagship design language. There are also some solid indications that the rail of the device will be made out of titanium, although this is not exactly confirmed.
There are so many leaks on social media, so take all of this with a pinch of salt. The Galaxy Unpacked event will be held in early 2024, so we don’t have to wait long to see what the official Galaxy S24 series will look like, and what features they will pack.
