Microsoft is reportedly considering innovative stylus support features for its Surface Book, potentially giving it an edge over the MacBook. A recent patent filed by Microsoft reveals some intriguing ideas for the future Surface Pen.
The patent suggests that Microsoft is exploring the concept of using the touchpad in conjunction with the stylus, in addition to the traditional touchscreen support. The main purpose of this integration is to enable the touchpad to detect the stylus, thereby facilitating the implementation of an active stylus. An active stylus can pair with the device and automatically adjust settings based on the user’s preferences.
