Master & Dynamic Enhances MH40 Headphones with Upgraded Drivers and Extended Battery Life

Master & Dynamic, the vintage-inspired audio gear brand, has launched the 2nd-generation wireless MH40 headphones featuring upgraded drivers, longer battery life, customizable sound and improved microphone performance. The new wireless version is available in five color options, including the navy/silver combo.

The new headphones pack in 40mm titanium drivers that offer “crystal clear highs and full-sounding lows,” producing a more expansive audio profile. The M&D Connect app provides several EQ presets that you can choose from if the stock tuning doesn’t suit you. The MH40 headphones offer up to 30 hours of listening on a charge, with a quick-charge feature that gives you six hours of use in just 15 minutes.

The updated microphone setup includes wind reduction, and you can opt for Sidetone in the app to hear your own voice during calls. Bluetooth 5.2 gives the new MH40 a range of up to 100 feet (30 meters), and the headphones support AAC, SBC, and aptX Adaptive (up to 24-bit/96kHz). However, the headphones do not feature active noise cancellation (ANC). For ANC, the company offers the expensive MW75 headphones.

The headphones’ vintage, aviator-inspired design returns with a blend of aluminum, trademark grille, a coated canvas headband, and removable leather ear pads. The updated MH40 headphones cost $399, $100 more than the previous version.
