Heart Of Chornobyl Returns With A Bang In New Gameplay Trailer for Stalker 2

The developer of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, GSC Game World, unveiled the game’s first trailer in six months. It features gameplay with a few narrative flourishes around the edges.

The latest footage, courtesy of IGN, indicates that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 looks very nice. The story-driven shooter takes place in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, a post-apocalyptic world full of frightening mutant beasts. Players must battle their way through the zone while influencing the non-linear storyline through choice-driven gameplay.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was officially announced in 2020, after years of start and stop statements. After unveiling and swiftly scrapping NFT plans in December 2021 owing to fan criticism, the project came to a standstill in February due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, where GSC is situated. Many workers in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, were compelled to flee their houses. Others decided to protect the city. Vladimir “Fresh” Yezhov, one of GSC’s designers who chose to fight, was recently murdered in action.

In 2023, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released for Xbox Series X/S (with Game Pass) and PC. It was one of several games affected by the delay glitch and pushed out until next year.
