Now, before we begin this tutorial, ensure that you have unfriended and unfollowed everyone in your list that you think doesn’t deserve to be on there. Once you are satisfied with the people you have on your friends’ list, you can follow this tutorial to lock your Facebook profile.
Step 1. Open the Facebook app on your smartphone.
Step 2. Tap on the three-line button at the bottom of the home page, on the toolbar.
Step 3. Next, tap on your profile to open up the profile page on Facebook.
Step 4. Tap on the three-dot button next to the Edit Profile button on the profile.
Step 5. From the new page, tap on the ‘Lock Profile’ option.
Once you confirm the operation, your profile will now be locked on Facebook. What this does is that it prevents unknown people from visiting your profile, seeing your photos, or even interacting with your posts. Even your profile picture will be limited for viewing to just the people on your Friends List. However, people will still be able to search for you on the platform.
