Meaning – The word analog refers to a mechanism or a device in which the information is represented by continuously changing physical quantities. It is the absolute opposite of the word ‘Digital’.
The word analog also refers to an analog computer, where each number is represented by a physical quantity whose value is equal to the number in question.
We also find analog watches in the market, and they are characterised by the presence of the three hands (Hours, Minutes and seconds).
The word analog is also used to describe something that is not computerised or digital.
