Meaning – Ancillary equipment, or more commonly known as Auxiliary equipment, are the set of tools or equipments that are provided along with the main hardware and they assist the main piece of hardware accomplish the assigned tasks easily and in the manner that is required.
Ancillary equipments also provide added functionalities to the main piece of hardware, and in other cases, these ancillary equipment help in repairing the main device in case of problems or accidents.
Depending on the product in question, the ancillary equipment are either provided in the product bundle, or sold separately.
Example of usage – “When I bought a music system for my home, it came with a host of ancillary equipment that proved to be very useful during the setup”.
