SOCKS proxies
SOCKS is an Internet protocol that is used to transfer data packets from a server to a client using an intermediate proxy server. At the moment, this is the most common and advanced technology for organizing a proxy. When using such a protocol, the data passes from the user to the proxy server, which uses its own IP, and from there to the target site. When data travels from the site to you, it follows the same path. This is exactly how a proxy works – as an “intermediary” between you and the Internet.
