The new Mac Pro from Apple might use an M2 processor with up to 48 CPU cores

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, one of the new computers Apple wants to introduce in the coming months is an M2 model of the Mac Pro. Gurman claims in his weekly Power On newsletter that the business is testing a version of their high-end desktop with a chipset with a 24-core CPU and 76-core GPU, as well as 192GB of RAM. He believes Apple will eventually allow users to choose between two alternative chipsets when customizing the Mac Pro. For the time being, Gurman has dubbed them the “M2 Ultra” and “M2 Extreme.”
