The Hyundai Elantra N may be getting a bigger engine
Hyundai just jazzed up the Elantra N – new grille, new bumpers, and they even shed 33 pounds by swapping out the wheels. But here’s the kicker: they’re already cooking up the next one, and it’s going to pack a bigger engine.
Albert Biermann spilled the beans in an interview with CarExpert. He used to be the big shot at BMW for 31 years, then hopped on the Hyundai train in 2015. Now, as the Executive Technical Advisor, he’s dropping hints about a 2.5 turbo engine for the next Elantra. According to him, Australia and the U.S. are on board with it, but elsewhere? Not so much – seems like everyone’s daydreaming about EVs.
