The ASUS ROG Phone 6 is now available in a ‘Diablo Immortal’ version

If you’re searching for an excuse to spend more money on Diablo Immortal, ASUS has you covered. Following the release of the ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition, the Taiwanese company has collaborated with Blizzard to create the ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition, which is essentially a specced-out ROG Phone 6 decorated with elements from the mobile game — both externally and internally, right down to the notification sounds. In other words, the ROG Phone series’ unique AirTrigger 6 shoulder controllers and front-facing dual speakers are included, as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. You’ll be missing the 6 Pro’s little screen on the back, but there’s enough more to show off here.

The rear of the ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition has a “Hellfire Red” semi-matte surface that emits a distinctive flame effect when seen from various angles. There’s also an RGB-lit Diablo Immortal logo adjacent to the game’s eponymous demon, but I’d rather have seen some kind of light trick on the Lord of Terror himself. Everything else remains the same, including the 65W charger and cord.

This phone would not be considered a limited edition if it did not come with matching accessories. Aside from the gold-coloured “Immortality Ejector Pin” for the SIM tray, a “Fahir’s Light” UV light is included for unveiling hidden elements on the Diablo-themed phone cover. The “Map of Sanctuary” may provide the same optical illusion, but its true function is to wrap the charger and cord — a convenient travel package. The phone, case, and pin are contained inside a blood-red “Worldstone” phone box, which is housed with the map in a larger “Horadric Cube” box. The Peltier-powered AeroActive Cooler 6 isn’t included, as it was with the original ROG Phone 6, and will set you back an additional $100.

The ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition will be available on ASUS’ online shop on November 18 for $1,299, which is $200 more than the standard version. For the same price, you can purchase a more powerful ROG Phone 6 Pro (with 18GB of RAM and 512GB of storage), but if you understand all of the Diablo allusions, you probably don’t mind.
